May the year be successful!

The mood for watching old stuff is in full swing. That's why today we're going to look at old calendars again. I think many of you have already seen them. Some of the photos have become classics that often scroll through various websites. But probably not everyone knows where they come from and what happened behind the scenes of production.

These works of art were prepared by Bato & Divajn from North Macedonia. This company, to put it simply, deals with broadly understood services in the field of graphics and design. One of their areas of activity is creating corporate calendars. They have several on their account, but we are most interested in two. The first of them, entitled Enigma, comes from 2008. The second Muzika is two years younger.

Their main author is Zoran Rosomanov, founder and owner of Bato & Divajn. Both projects, as you can see, use nude models and bodypainting.

Probably the most recognizable one is Enigma 2008. Many of these photos circulate on the web, including those that were not used in the final product. Here we can see what the calendar sheets looked like.

Strategically smoothed photo...

It reminds of something...

But the most interesting thing is that Rosomanov gave us a glimpse of what was going on behind the scenes. An almost ten-minute film was created, documenting the preparations and the course of the photo session. It looks very erotic. We can admire models who patiently undergo transformation into silver statuettes. Interestingly, in the fragment we also see how the girls pose painted in black and white. However, in this incarnation, they were not on the pages of the calendar.

The painter

After logging in, you can watch it in its entirety on Rosomanov's profile on YouTube. It's just a shame that such a beautiful piece of work wasn't realized in better quality.

The second project is Muzika 2010. This time the model's body was used to create the illusion of musical instruments...

Here, the creators also showed what was going on behind the scenes.

This video, as interesting as the first one, is also available on YT. Another almost ten minutes of material showing how laborious the preparations and gradual transformation of the model into individual instruments were.

BTW: If anyone likes to watch models at work, I invite you to... Models at work!

Beautiful isn't it? Does anyone else make calendars like this? Probably so. Unfortunately, Bato & Divajn doesn't boast of more projects after 2010... But maybe they will surprise us with something else...

  1. Sadly Rosomanov passed away due to COVID, as a result we are unlikely to ever see a better quality making of video
