Girl from the gallery

Gold painted girl on display in a gallery. That's a piece of art prepared for the exhibition of French artist Philippe Shangti.

Model is turned into living statue: naked, painted gold from head to toe and placed on a pedestal during exhibition. The patrons are casually taking pictures of her and contemplating the posters on the walls around her. She must be some kind of cherry on top of entire event.

This living piece of art was created by body-artist Sophie Fauquet known as Popsie and was dedicated to celebrate the exhibition's vernisage of mentioned Philippe Shangti - controversial French artist who, by the way, often utilises bodypainting in his works. The model who took part in the event was Luna Chiquerille.

The vernisage took place in A2Z Gallery in Paris in 2016, but only recently I stumbled upon it thanks to Statufied from Living Statues, who was kind to share his find on the web.
