Therapy time!
I owe you something. In spring and summer this year, when I haven't posted anything for a long time, you came to the rescue by sharing links that were supposed to inspire me. One of the anonymous readers sent a link to a certain movie. I put it off until it was time to find out what was behind it.
The short video was eye-catching. Naked girl pouring paints over herself and smearing them all over her body. Nice. Contrary to appearances, it turned out that this is not an ordinary erotic production created for entertainment, or a record of a peculiar performance, but... a way to heal. Or just a business idea...
The author of the film is Mind Body Lab. It's a Russian studio that calls itself a laboratory. It deals with a kind of therapy through art. If I understand correctly: if you want to take care of your mental health, maybe you should release your emotions by creating self-painting. The company describes it something like this (if you trust the translator):
"Mind Body Lab is a network of unique spaces for free creativity, where paint becomes a guide to self-discovery.
(...)
Our laboratory was the first in Russia to start learning, actively practicing and scaling body painting with paints at the level of psychology, art and body-oriented therapy.
(...)
The professionalism and experience of our work is based on a scientific approach in the study of art therapy, psychology and related fields, as well as on an endless practical experiment. The best choose us and give us what is most intimate - their feelings and body."
The studio boasts that their number of clients is constantly growing. The first facility was opened in 2020: "Experience: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslav, Kazan. Over 400 sessions, over 800 liters of paint used, over 300 positive reviews and thanks. And these numbers are growing every day."
The offer is extensive: "Individual body painting sessions, art therapy sessions focused on deep self-discovery processes, working with psychological needs, photo sessions in colors, creating colorful content and implementing your creative ideas in a large amount of paint."
They also have something for couples:
"Body painting sessions for two. A new experience of getting to know a partner through a creative and emotional process." - this part of the offer seems particularly interesting. Many interesting films could be created from such sessions...
Honestly, I don't know if using paints allows us to overcome the problems that haunt us inside. Watching someone else do it also doesn't, but it surely pleases the eye. And maybe that's what therapy through art is all about. I wish there were more such laboratories!
Now it's time for our therapy. The short film was originally posted two years ago on the Mind Body Lab profile on Youtube. Here we have some freeze frames. Of course, their quality is...
Here's the movie. Enjoy!
For formalities: here is a link to the original video on YT. Available after logging in.
If you like girls playing with paints, don't forget to check out Audri+Asana and casual.casual videos.
It is also worth checking what else the blog readers have found. Something from shooten.nl. A completely different story, but it also pleases the eye...
PS. Thanks again for the links. I always check all of them, but I do not write about each of them. Subjective judgment, you know...
