There once was a website...
Memories this time. Probably many of you remember a website named LightSpeedImages.com. It was entirely dedicated to bodypainting and the guy behind it created a lot of unforgettable classic works, especially in metallic style, but not only. If you don't remeber LSI by name but you are really into bodypainting, you've obviously seen their pictures or some short videos hosted today on different sites. Unfortunately, the page is not working anymore from unknown reasons. It ceased it's activity in somewhere about 2007/2008 and now this web domain hosts a site dedicated to motorsport photography.
The site owner was based in Eldersburg, Maryland state, USA. He cooperated with at least twenty models, creating different photosessions and videos. Some of them includes works inspired by pop culture (e.g. Goldfinger girl, green slave from Star-Trek, ISIS band cover, Metallic People by John Stevens, etc). The other are his own ideas. There were also videos from modelling sessions avalaible for purchase. Now it's all gone. Maybe not quite, because some of the site content still can be recovered using internet archive browser.

Now we'll try to dig in the past and remember those outstanding pictures...
Let's begin with the girls who modelled for LSI. Originally, the page had "Meet the bodypainting women" section, where models were listed by names with short description. Those notes are cited below. Each model was linked to the subpage with her photosessions. So let's meet at least some of the girls from LightSpeed Images...
Melissa (the silver painted one)
"This elegant Maryland model with a statuesque figure does a classy two-tone bodypaint costume and then goes all silver. (left image copyright Mike Busada)."
Melissa - (the black one)
"Melissa's a Baltimore educator who, when not in class, loves getting wild and experimental in making far out images."
"Syn DeVil is a Pennsylvania based model with a flare for theater and the dramatic. Her very sexy, penetrating eyes, and fantastic body make Syn a unforgettable sensual silver starlet in this pictorial."
Syn DeVil was born on October 5, 1979. Sadly, checking the web shows that she died in November of 2018, at the age 39. Apart from the work with LSI, she was also an actress.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth
"Liz gives a new meaning to the term “platinum blond” in this glossy pictorial. She’s a beautiful Los Angeles model with a sweet smile and dynamite figure."
Kristin
"Kristin is a very cute Playboy model in Maryland, who has an absolutely perfect shape for posing in any color. Her arresting looks are surpassed only by a wonderful personality."
Kristin is a special model in LSI portfolio and also a mystery. I tried to trace her bio on the web. It turned out it's not that simple. Some pages quotes her year of birth as 1975. Assuming the LSI shots are from early 2000, she would be about 26-28 at the time. If it's her at all. This trace leads us to her career as an administrative staff in a movie industry. But this is probably a mistrial, as the further notes about that person doesn't mention modelling for Playboy. However, the other sources (see at the end of the page), cites her DOB as 1984 so she would be merely 18-20 years old at the time of her showtime. So it turns out that she could be known as DJ Kay Jay nowadays. Maybe there are two models from Maryland of that name? Or maybe I'm just shitty material for a detective...
Do you will talk about crazy girls?
