Ephemeral art of Guy Seguin


If you are into bodyart things you've probably heard of the Canadian artist Guy Seguin alias Guzzz. He is the creator of the "Images Ephemeres" photography series, which is a way to "freeze the ephemeral in time", as the author explains.

Certainly, there are different ways to freeze in time an ephemeral thing. In this case, Guzzz uses female bodies as a canvas for his works: Models are randomly coated with different paints. Variety of colors and appling techniques creates an unique patterns on their naked bodies. Then, those ephemeral "living canvases" are immortalized on photography, which largely focuses not only on the painting itself, but also on the gesture and movement.
