Transformation: behind the scenes
In the world of body art, one of the things that turn me on the most is the thing called "behind the scenes". I mean, finished work is usually the main source of delight of course, but there really is something in the sight of female model patiently waiting until the artist finishes his work with her body. I think here of bodypainting photo sessions, but not only, as there is of course much more artistic actions which requires work on nude or semi nude model.
Apparently, sometimes artist/photographers neglect these aspects, showing only the final results of their work, not the work itself. Obviously sometimes it also depends on model's decision, if she wants to be photographed or recorded while not being "dressed" in her painting or whatever she has to wear in the result. But despite of the reasons, it frequently happens to me to look at really interesting pieces of bodyart, wondering how it was done, how it was behind the scenes whatsoever. And unfortunately there's no sign of it. Maybe it just me, but as I wrote: there really is some vibe in such scenes: fun, eroticism, patience, sometimes even some kind of objectification, sacrifice or submission from the model.
Straight to the point: I think that body art - especially of erotic kind, despite being based on visual aspects, has much to do with emotions and psychology at all.
So with this in mind, let's take a look on random set of pictures showing models patiently undergoing their transformation:

...this about endurance. Model Romy Yedidia stood still for three and half hour to take full plaster cast of her body... |

...and this is about sacrifice. She can only breathe and wait. |
There is much to say and much more to see, so I'm going to continue this thread soon...
